Update...

Today my tiger died too... lfajd;lkfjadkl;jfeljfeoijfeaoja!!!!!

Status:
No plecos, just 2 mollys, 1 goldfish and 1 Albino Oscar on the tank.

I don't want my Albino to die too. I added the new filter two days ago (canister), I'm filtering about 700gph on my 55g. No clue what's going on... If my albino dies I'm starting over... New cycle, new fish, new everthing!!

so disappointed right now... :(

I'm sorry for your loss. :(

Do you know what killed your Tiger? Has he been a been acting sick/weird prior to dying? Also, please check your water parameters and post the results. This is the second fish you lost in such a short amount of time...Something tells me the water might not be in great condition.

Mind if I make a suggestion? If I were you, I would rehome the mollys and goldfish. Just stick with 1 Oscar in that 55 gallon of yours. You'd rather have 1 healthy, happy fish than several dead fish. Besides, a goldfish has a different water requirements than Oscars and your molly would soon become food for your O.

Best of luck and let us know if you need help with anything.

I agree with Kaiser.. give your oscar the best chance to live if you like to molly I would not keep him there unless you want him to become food and goldfish can be dirty not sure the kind you have...

Regardless of the results I would still do a 50% or more water change asap. Large scale die-offs can generally be attributed to poor water. Fish don't do well swimming in their waste products and won't physically tolerate it for very long.

Fot the last 2/3 weeks, WC every 2-3 days... Just did one less than 48hours ago.

I'm going to test my tap water also. Something is wrong and I can't find it!!!

Test Results w/new liquid test master kit:

NO2: 0ppm
NO3: 0ppm
Ammonia: 0ppm
pH: 7.6

After the test, I added bacteria supplement to my canister filter (just 2 days running and the only bacteria where at my HOB)

any suggestions? Temperature? it's around 78-79 @ night/ 81-82 @ day... can this be the reason?

0 no3 means you either got a dud test result, or your tank is not cycled - which would explain the die offs.

What dechlorinator do you use? Is it expired? Chlorine really does a number on benificial bacteria.

Your readings indicate your tank is not cycled at all. Ideal results would be

Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: < 20

pH is kind of the inconsequential in the equation. It isn't as important for O's, just so long as it's not marine level 8.3 or discus level 6.4.

My personal suggestion, provided the tank is empty, get a bottle of ammonia from a hardware store and begin a cycle. There's a link in the helpful articles section that outlines it very well.

One thing I am curious about, why is your temp fluctuating 2-4 degrees over a day/night cycle? Is your tank placed near a window or under a heat/air conditioning vent? Your temp should be stable around 78 or so, if you're creeping into the 80's that might be worth investigating. Reason being, while 82 won't hurt the fish, swings of that much can put stress on the tank inhabitants and may be the cause of your problems.

I know, wall of text, with more questions than answers, hopefully we can get to the bottom of this.
