i might be buying a 75 gallon tank (to replace my 55G) soon. i found someone online who lives about 2 minutes away walking distance from me, and he is selling it for just 50 DOLLARS! no scratches, glass sliding lid.
i couldnt be happier, i went online randomly to look up new tanks and how much they would cost and found this guy right next door... my lucky day?
hopefully my oscar will love this more than the little 55G.

its in better condition than was expected, and the best part....
HE HAS AT LEAST 60 OTHER LARGE TANKS IN HIS BASEMENT (more upstairs too)
it was awesome. thousands of different fish, and it was all beautiful and well taken care of. im incredibly lucky that i found him. 10 out of 5 stars.
ill take pictures tomorrow and post them =) the stand isnt perfectly fitting (built for a curved front) but im going to get a flat plank of wood to make a new surface.
there are tons of scratches on the glass, but no cracks at all. the glass is VERY thick, thicker than you get from tanks now. it was either 10 or 15mm thick if i remember correctly.
glass top with no lights though, which is the only problem. the glass is heavy and sturdy, but if it proves an issue, ill just have to figure something out.

thanks guys ^.^ ill take some pictures through the process of fixing it up. apparently my fiance might be able to take it to work and have the guys buffer the scratches out (she works with glass)
ill be painting the back of the tank a solid black as well, and ill take pics of it all when its being set up, and done.
