Wow, i have been toying with the idea of making some underwater footage for a long time.
Now i see your vids...and wonder why I haven't done it yet!!!
Very nice vids!
I love the way all the fish are looking into the camera, great stuff!
Lovely SD's, how old are they?

I have to shoot some underwatervideo soon...that may compensate all my frustration of Photobucket holding all of my pictures hostage...grrrrrr

Photobucket sucks!

The SD's are about the same age has all other fish. One year in this tank plus I don't know how long since they where born.

They are quite smaller than what I expected.

All the guys are doing fine but I gave the fish I bought as a Blue Acara because it was in fact a female JD.

I'm thinking about changing the gravel from this black to white sand. It may benefit the colors of the fish mainly the Rotkeil that is almost always dark like in camouflage and exhibit more the Synodontis because he is almost all black and Grey.

Nice to see the forum is going on. For me having lost the tapatalk app its harder to come regularly.

Best regards.

My SDs took almost 3 years to reach adult size, that is, from tiny baby on. Actually, the males reached adult size sooner, but the females grew bigger in the end. But I think that's common.
Changing the colour of the substrate might indeed help to bring out the colour of your fish better. Although they look splendid now already!
What camera did you use for the vids? (maybe it's in the thread, but then I missed it... ?)

The câmara is a gopro hero.

The Oscar's won't benefit by changing the sand but the Rotkeil will and also the Synodontis.

Done the change from black to white sand yesterday and I'm really glad with the difference. After being reintroduced all the fish immediately looked grater.

Well after this change in the setup on the following day my tiger Oscar right eye popped out as I've mentioned in a proper help topic.

After three weeks out on an hospital tank, a week on paraguard and two more weeks showing a normal eye (as normal as it can be due to having almost since he got to this tank a small lump over that eye) he returned yesterday to the main tank in spite during all this time he almost didn't eat anything.

I was afraid of the lutino reception to the tiger and as soon as he got in he was heavily arrassed by the lutino that is now a bit larger than the tiger. Before this treatment and refusing food the tiger was as large as the lutino.

I was expecting this and that bullying should last at least a couple of days as it lasted last time they where apart for a couple of weeks, when it took a few days for them to get really friendly again.

What I wasn't expecting was that the lutino started bullying also the other residents although not as much as he did to the tiger.

Another unexpected thing was to see a couple of hours after de reunion and being so arrassed the tiger started eating as before ween I was afraid he would be even worse than as he was alone spitting all food out and showing no interest when I got close to the tank.

This time he camed on to the front glass dancing with the lutino asking for food as they always do.

Now I'm hoping the tiger stops being arrassed and that the lutino gets friendly with all the guys again so that they can all be healthy and keep on growing and get a larger house and possibly some more mates someday.

Can't really see anything untoward with the Oscars right eye. You may try and get a much closer photo if you can. Otherwise, looks really really nice

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)
