    Hi everyone,

i lost my Oscar around a week ago. What happend was i opened the lid to feed him & he jumped out landing on the floor. I picked him up & put him back but within a day he had died. I know Oscar's can jump but he was the first i have had to do so, was a bit of a shock! So now i have my Jack Dempsey & some Firemouths x2, 1 Angel fish & some Tiger barbs X 4. Got the Tigers & Angel fish from a friend & it seems a happy tank.
I was sad to see my oscar die thats why i didn't just rush out to buy another. But my tank look so empty thats why i add the other fish. Maybe in time i will get another Oscar but for the time being i will stick to what i have.

    Thanks Alan

  • rowan19 created a new topic Just taken a Jack Dempsey in the forum.
Ok a friend has had a problem with his JD's. He already had a male & has tried to introduce a female, but the male is not having any of it. So i have taken her & she is in with my Oscar & they are getting on fine. She is around 10cm & ollie Oscar is around 15cm. I have a 62 gallon (uk) tank with good filteration, so it should be alright for a while. I will post some photo's a little later

  • rowan19 created a new topic How to stop sand getting in my Ehiem 2075? in the forum.
I have a new Ehiem 2075 & i keep seeing sand in the intake, so i have to keep taking the intake off & clearing the sand out. It comes from my Oscar digging & kicking up the sand. The intake pipe is 3.5 inches from the sand. I am worried the sand will get in the filter a damage it. So have any of you guys got any tips to stop this.
