STORY: the LFS owner was at my work(bank) on friday (yesterday). Basically she said, Yes, they have the Red Tail Cat still, and Yes, they would be happy to give me good store credit for my Red Eared Sliders...
so it was a done deal. i loaded them up and went to the LFS today (saturday), she wasn't there, and the REd tail Catfish wasn't there. The other owner (husband) was there, he isn't sure when they'll get more RTC's. but they took my name down and said they will give me a call when they come in. (ofcourse i will have changed my mind by then). LOL
... but i do have $25 store credit waiting for me there.
So the turtles are gone, and I finally went and got my new plants. Oh yeah, and i went to petsmart to pick up a Midas or Red Devil, but they didn't have any.
, so i ended up trying this Red Texas. (as you can see the little guy in the vid):

cebosound created a new topic ' Replace Compact Bulbs or Go LED ?' in the forum.I have a high end 4 foot compact light fixture. i have needed to replace the bulbs for some time now (havent used it for many a few years now. my lfs has the flourescent bulbs , and they will cost about 60 bucks.
but i have noticed that there are some LED fixtures out there for similar price. (low end, ebay, etc) .
Which option do you guys think i should do?
