seymore created a new topic ' Oscars strange behavior' in the forum. So a couple of years ago we rescued 2 oscars a latino and a tiger. We moved them from a 55 to a 180 gallon tank with another latino. No fighting at all everyone got along fine. I noticed the 2 latinos always together and in one corner every morning. So I moved the latino out of the tank. The latinos started digging a big hole and then just sit over the top of it doing nothing all day. ^ months later I move the same tiger back in the tank and they fought but only lightly no ripping each others heads off. Now after 3 months the 2 latinos are digging holes again and defending the hole and sitting over top of it doing nothing all day. So my question is what are they doing and why no eggs.

seymore created a new topic Getting Oscars to live together without killing ea in the forum. So as some of you know the wife and I have 8 Oscars and only 2 of them live together. So my question is what do we look for to determine if 2 oscars can live together. We have another 180 Gallon tank coming in a couple of weeks and we want to put 2 oscars in it together. Do we just trial and error and see who dances together or trys to kill each other. As always the more respondes the better.
